To be honest, I was saving this bottle from my monthly shipment for last because it was the most intriguing. The gold color shined from the bottle and seethed richness. The label, with its partridge art reminded me of the paintings hung in my grandparents’ house of different depictions of grouse in hunting scenes. I did not approach this week’s wine with high expectations. The label was a confusing mismatch of images on the front. On the back, the font was fun, but I noted the labeling of “Vino da Tavola,” or “table wine.” However, I started prepping my food and delved into my research anyway.
